A friend of mine by the name of Tiffany Agerston recently held her first natural hair forum called My Black is.. this past Tuesday, on November 23, 2010, at North Carolina Central University . At this event, there was a panel discussion where the panel as well as members of the audience, shared their personal stories on going natural. In additon, the panelists shared a few hair tips and hair personal hair products with the audience. While songs from soulful artists played, and I had the opportunity to share a brief powerpoint (made by Tiff), that went over the different hair types for natural hair. This segment was extremely informative, because many, (like I once was), were completely oblivious to what a "hair type" was. Along with the info, were refreshments and cool give-aways that included, hair accessories and other cosmetics for the audience.
The last part was my very favorite! Tiff made a hair creme out of shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil & gave everybody samples. How cool is that!
Overall, I personally enjoyed the forum & loved being one of the panelist.
..Can't wait to see what's in store for the one!
